I haven't done much astro photography, but with Milky Way season in full swing, and some very clear nights, I couldn't resist temptation!
This is the Milky Way rising over the iconic Pentre Ifan burial chamber in the Preselis in north Pembrokeshire, overlooking Newport. If the burial chamber has been there for 5500 years, how long have the stars been there?!
This was taken at about 3.15 on a May morning. Not long after I arrived, another photographer also came across the field to do the same as me. It turned out he was on holiday from Sussex.
